Two nights ago at a little after 4 am, my room mate, Richard MacLeod, aged 74, reached samadhi, a state of cosmic bliss. He is still in it. It is a rare event, like a supernova. When a soul reaches such as state, it is worthy of note, to be sure.
The evening before, he had been studying these ancient Scottish runes in a curious prehistoric site dated at about 3000BC. But not like just any guy. He has a history much like the genius in the movie Good Will Hunting. There, Matt Damon, played a janitor in an Ivy League math building. Especially weird, unsolvable problems would be posted on certain blackboards in the department to challenge the students and staff. This janitor could stop, contemplate the problem for a minute or two, and solve the esoteric conundrums with a few strokes of chalk.
Richard was a low level tech at a big electronics firm many years ago where similar difficult problems would be posted on blackboards as a challenge to the experts and PhD’s there. He would be walking by, study the blackboard for a while and then, like the janitor in the movie, complete the problem–usually a complex circuit– in a short time with an elegant few strokes of chalk. He was rapidly moved upstairs where he became a font of inventions, creating a line of new appliances and circuits at a rapid rate, as though it were just a fun and easy game.
Richard, looked at photos of these stone runes for a long time, and his higher mind made sense of the previously thought primitive formation. Before going to bed, that night, he realized that the stone at the heart of the figure made by the stones, represented the great light that is hidden inside us. He went out to sleep in his camper as he usually does and went to sleep normally.
At 4 AM he was awakened with a sense of profound, incredible, all-encompassing cosmic bliss, light emanating from every pore of his body, knowledge of he great love in the universe flooding through him, and his body quivering with surges of passionate, loving, creative energy which were almost unbearable in their intensity. The sensation was so strong that he could not, nor did he want to go to sleep, and today took me aside to share his massive breakthrough.
Even hearing about this happening to a person is a good good thing for the soul. He even offered to give out his email in case anyone wanted to contact him to discuss it with him. Macleod@centurytel.net.
Keep the faith! This is not something that just happens in story books. It can happen to you too–if you keep your energy focused on the right things. It may come about differently for you on your path, but the endpoint is the same. Cosmic bliss, and it IS real.
